Let’s be honest—this isn’t your average 9-to-5 desk job. At McRae’s Tank Service in Abbotsford, BC, we’re looking for someone who prefers horsepower over office chairs and doesn’t mind getting a little… close to the action.
As a Full-Time Vacuum Truck Driver, you’ll be part of a tight-knit crew delivering essential services across the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver. We’re talking septic tank cleaning, grease trap maintenance, catch basin cleaning, hydro excavation, and line flushing—the kind of work that keeps cities running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be operating a vacuum truck across municipal, commercial, and residential sites—handling everything from routine maintenance to urgent service calls. One minute you’re helping a local business, the next you’re out on a municipal job keeping infrastructure flowing as it should.
You’ll also:
- Complete daily logs, inspections, and paperwork (yes, even heroes have paperwork)
- Provide solid customer service (clean work, clean reputation)
- Safely transport materials and operate equipment like a pro
What It Takes
You’ll need a Class 3 license, a clean driving record, and a good sense of direction around the Lower Mainland. If you’ve got mechanical know-how and can work independently, you’re already ahead of the game. Experience with vacuum trucks is a bonus—but if not, we’ll train you up properly.
Why McRae’s?
We’ve been doing this since 1951, so it’s safe to say we know our stuff. You’ll get:
- Competitive wages
- Medical & dental benefits after 3 months
- Flexible shifts (because life happens)
- 24/7 operations—meaning steady, reliable work
If you’re looking for a hands-on career with good pay, real responsibility, and a team that gets the job done (no matter what), this might be your calling.
Apply today—because someone’s gotta handle the dirty work… and it might as well be you.
